How to choose an experienced and reliable installer
With different technologies to choose from and the necessary refinement to suit your needs, what should you look for when choosing an installation company?
Experience and reputation:

Look for a solar PV installer who has a proven track record of success in the industry. Check online reviews, customer feedback, and case studies to assess the quality of their work.

Certifications and licenses

Make sure the installer is certified and licensed to install solar systems in your country. Check for certifications such as NAPIT, MCS and with the Trading Standards Trustmark.

Warranty and guarantees

Ask about the warranties and guarantees offered by the installer for their work and the equipment they use. Ensure that they offer a comprehensive warranty on the panels, inverters, and installation work.

Quality of equipment

Check the quality of the solar panels, inverters, and other equipment that the installer uses. Ensure that they use top-quality, reliable, and efficient equipment from reputable manufacturers.

Cost

Compare the costs and payment options of different solar installers to get a good deal. However, keep in mind that the cheapest option may not always be the best option.

Customer service

Look for a solar PV installer who provides excellent customer service and support. This will ensure that any issues or questions you have are addressed quickly and efficiently.

References

Ask for references and talk to previous customers of the installer to get a better understanding of their experience.

SolarEdge No background

SolarEdge is an Israeli company that specialises in manufacturing and selling power optimizers, inverters, and monitoring systems for solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Herzliya, Israel.

SolarEdge’s products are designed to maximize the power output of solar PV systems, increase the efficiency of the energy generated, and improve the overall system performance. Their power optimizers, in particular, are known for their ability to optimize the power output of individual solar panels, thereby increasing the energy yield of the system as a whole.

In addition to its core business of power optimizers and inverters, SolarEdge also offers a cloud-based monitoring platform that allows system owners and installers to monitor and manage the performance of their solar PV installations in real-time. This enables them to identify and address any issues quickly, thereby ensuring that the system operates at its maximum capacity.

Why we like SolarEdge

SolarEdge panel optimisers enable more energy generation from each solar module by mitigating power losses that result from a mismatch between modules. With SolarEdge, weaker modules do not affect the performance of strong ones. The SolarEdge system is future-proofed against potential risks that can cause decreased lifetime energy production and maximises the power potential at all times through optimised efficiency. See the video that explains these benefits

Compliant with the most advanced safety standards, SolarEdge’s SafeDC™ feature is designed to de-energize the solar array to a safe voltage whenever the inverter or grid is shutdown, protecting your property as well as installers, electricians, and firefighters.
